Machado is a professor at the University of São Paulo, Brazil.
Felipe Almeida is a Computer Science student at Universidade de São Paulo and scientific initiation student with projects on web accessibility, human-computer interaction, and , currently, on ubiquitous computing, semantic web technologies, P2P (Peer-to-Peer) and CSCW (Computer Supporterd Cooperative Work), in the Brazilian digital tv system context
Andréia Cristina is a environmental management student at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. She's part of the "Reserva Cultural" project for culture sharing, and works in projects of environment education in her free time. She has a scientific research scholarship for the project of comparing the quality of the Portuguese Wikipedia against other conventional encyclopedias in Portuguese.
Abstract

The objective of this study is the quality comparison of the most searched contents in the Portuguese language Wikipedia and the only traditional encyclopaedia still edited in Portuguese, the Master. The study will evaluate the quality of the articles through test created by specialists in related theme areas.
